Christmas Stollen Cake

The most joyous time of year has come and we are now making our delicious Christmas Stollen. Our delicious German-style cake is one of our most prized holiday treats for people looking for unique dessert ideas, great gifts and fine food for weekend brunch. If you haven’t had Stollen before and wonder what all the fuss is about, just take a look at the ingredient list: real butter, dark rum, glacéed lemons, oranges, cherries, fresh lemon and orange peel, fresh lemon juice, currants, almonds, golden raisins, Red Flame raisins, vanilla beans and ground cinnamon. There is a decadent marzipan filling which just about puts the cherry on top. Then it is toasted and spread with a little unsalted butter and dusted with powdered snow (sugar).
